Today in Mr. Schick’s West Civ. Class we took our first
notes. I learned that West Civ. is Europe, North America, and South America. Before
civilization, it was the Prehistoric Era. Prehistory is the time in history
before people started to write things down that happened in their life.
Prehistoric age is also called the Paleolithic age or the Old Stone Age.
Neolithic age or the New Stone Age marked advanced tools and the beginning of agriculture.
They began to migrate during that time. Next there was the Agricultural Revolution.
They started to have permanent settlements. The population rose because they
could take care of their children. They had Hierarches. These are when people
are ranked higher than others. Women were lower than men. They invented the
wheel and the plow. They also had a surplus of food. They were polytheist. This
means that they worshiped many gods like nature, human, and animal gods.
